Envi-sion members drafted and sent campaign letters on topics of air pollution & respiratory diseases, food contamination & human health, deforestation & ecological diseases, and water pollutants & bacterial diseases to affiliated organizations, companies, and ministries. Envi-sion members participated in the new global movement plogging, a sustainable initiative combining sports like jogging and caring for the environment. With increasing concerns about trash and plastic pollution worldwide, plogging has unified over 20,000 environmentalists in 100+ countries everyday. We noticed that plastic was the most common type of litter near the roads by Yangjaecheon, and it would eventually end up polluting the river and its ecosystem as well. After collecting visible pieces of litter into our trash bags, we visited a nearby waste & recycling center to sort them out.
Envi-sion raised a total of $310 at Environmental Vision Biannual School Fundraising Event held on May 25, 2022.

After a short presentation/trivia time about deforestation, the kindergarteners cut out their own leaves to create a class tree. On their leaf cut-outs, they wrote reasons why forests and trees were important to them and the world. We believe helping young children, especially, understand and address the impact of global warming will allow for the greatest changes for our climate in the future. It was great to see such young students engaged in celebrating Earth Day! Envi-sion celebrated Earth Day 🌎 (April 22nd 2021) with the Senior Kindergarteners. ENVI-SION, will help the Plastic Mill Project initiated by Seoul PP, an environmental organization that directly works with the Seoul Environment Corporation to transform plastic waste into daily supplies. We have placed boxes around our school along with posters to spread awareness about the issue of plastic waste and encourage the SIS community to donate small plastic waste. In addition, members of ENVI-SION have collected bottle caps from their respective homes. The total amount has accumulated to around 3 medium-sized boxes. After sending the boxes, executives received tube squeezers made out of plastic bottles we donated! ENVI-SION plans to continue our work with Seoul PP as we further progress our partnership regarding environmental problems! |
